Dialysis Patient Care Technician (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician)
Job Summary:
As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician to monitor patients during dialysis, assist with dialysis equipment setup and maintenance, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Set up and prepare dialysis machines for treatments. 2. Monitor patients during dialysis treatment, including vital signs and overall well-being. 3. Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as getting them to and from treatment areas. 4. Educate patients on self-care and dialysis treatment protocols. 5. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care activities. 6. Clean and sterilize dialysis equipment after each use. 7. Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification required. 3. CPR certification. 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. 6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. 7.
