Requirements:
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Guaranteed 36-hour workweek
- Typically 3 shifts per week and every other weekend
- Shifts may range from 5-12 hours depending on patient census
- If no patients are scheduled, technician remains on-call for the scheduled shift and receives full pay for the day Rotating evening call schedule:
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Call compensation provided (hourly call rate) Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor hemodialysis treatments for acute care patients
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and disinfect NxStage dialysis equipment
- Monitor patients during dialysis treatments and communicate concerns to nursing staff
- Collaborate with onsite nursing personnel and remote dialysis RNs via Zoom Qualifications
- Current National Dialysis Technician Certification (CCHT or equivalent) Clinical Practice Information
- Technician-to-patient ratio: 1:1
- Medication administration is limited to saline per facility protocol
- All other medications are administered by floor nursing staff
- Clinical support provided by both onsite RN staff and remote dialysis
