Know Your Team:
Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities The Dialysis Technician will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse to all assigned patients and maintain a safe patient area. Assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean work environment Provide safe, effective delivery of patient care in compliance with standards outlined in the facility procedure manual, as well as regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies Provided the direct patient care for ESRD assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to the patient treatment. Information is documented by the technician in the appropriate patient record. Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the R.N. Assist with all emergency operational procedures Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment. Able to safely operate all dialysis-related equipment safely Able to provide minor troubleshooting when necessary Familiarity with all emergency equipment. Recognize and respond to machine alarms. Participate in staff meetings as scheduled. Assist in patient care plan meetings when appropriate. Acquire information and knowledge in current practice related to dialysis techniques and principles by participating in scheduled in-service classes Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications Job Requirements:
High school degree or GED Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis Certification from an accredited dialysis program BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Previous experience in a Dialysis facility
Pay Range Minimum:
$18.31/Hr. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
