The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs a variety of patient care activities and related non-professional duties necessary in caring for the dialysis patient. Some of the job duties consists of: Prepares equipment needed for treatment of dialysis patients Obtains weights and vital signs on patients in order to assist the RN with assessment Monitors patient progress and performs intra-dialytic care. Discontinues treatment and performs post-dialytic care Contributes to a positive work environment Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff Demonstrates proficiency in the code arrest procedure
