Job Description

Job Description:
Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction. All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Required Education:
Associate Degree Nursing /RN All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
Required Experience:
Must be a Registered Nurse, with an active license with the Texas Board of Nurses. Individual must have a minimum of five years of nursing experience in a Healthcare Environment. The Registered Nurse must have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Dialysis Facility , within the last 24 months , must have a current competency skills checklist on file or RN Nurse Instructor of a Dialysis Technician training course of an accredited College/University.
