53548 We're looking for experienced Dialysis Technicians to join a contract team in Janesville, WI for a 13-week daytime assignment starting May 27, 2026. This role is for three openings, scheduled at 36 hours per week, with a travel rate of $1,044 per week. Why this role might fit you You'll provide hands-on dialysis care in collaboration with RNs and the broader care team. You'll work in a focused, clinical environment where technical skill and infection-control practices matter. This is a short-term, day-shift contract that's great if you want a predictable schedule and concentrated clinical experience. Must-haves Current Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician credential (NNCC or BONET). Approved CPR or BLS certification. Previous dialysis experience and current certification are required. What you'll do (key responsibilities) Deliver direct patient care under RN direction: initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments while maintaining professional conduct and appearance. Set up and take down patient treatment stations, prepare machines and supplies, enter and document treatment data. Cannulate vascular access, remove needles at treatment end, collect lab specimens, and prepare heparin for catheter flushes.
Perform catheter care:
access, flush, and heparinize as needed. Conduct water, dialysate, and machine safety checks; perform LAL and other sample collection for testing. Carry out daily and intermittent water room checks, and perform monthly disinfection per testing results and regulations. Work with Biomedical/engineering teams to maintain dialysis equipment and document equipment status, repairs, and regulatory information. Follow and apply infection prevention protocols for dialysis equipment and the treatment environment. Inventory and order medical supplies; participate in vascular access monitoring and related data collection. Contribute to departmental performance improvement activities, staff education, and training. Skills and communication Ability to read and follow complex instructions and document patient care accurately. Comfortable presenting information one-on-one and in small groups to patients, family members, and staff. Strong attention to detail for regulatory compliance, testing, and equipment documentation.
