Dialysis Technician -
Contract Location:
Janesville, WI Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Dialysis Technician to provide specialized direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a dialysis setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, monitoring patients during treatment, maintaining dialysis equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments Monitor patient condition throughout treatment and report concerns to nursing staff Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight Prepare dialysis stations, equipment, and supplies before treatment Clean and disinfect dialysis machines and treatment areas after use Cannulate vascular access and remove needles upon treatment completion Perform dialysis catheter care, flushing, and heparinization Collect laboratory specimens and prepare samples for testing Conduct water, dialysate, and machine safety checks Perform water room monitoring, testing, and disinfection procedures Maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, and compliance logs Monitor vascular access and collect treatment-related data Assist with inventory management and ordering medical supplies Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and training programs Follow all infection control and patient safety protocols Required Qualifications Current Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification (NNCC or BONENT) Current CPR or BLS Certification Dialysis patient care experience required Strong knowledge of dialysis equipment and treatment procedures Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Excellent communication and patient care skills Required Certifications Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (NNCC or BONENT) CPR or BLS Certification For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com
