Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Member to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, food preparation, and food service within healthcare or assisted living environments. This role involves supporting the dietary department by preparing meals, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing food in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas to promote a safe environment. Handle food items properly, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols. Support the dietary team in food production activities, including portioning and plating meals. Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for residents. Follow proper food handling procedures during meal service to prevent contamination. Contribute to the overall efficiency of the dietary department by assisting with inventory management and food storage as needed. Qualifications Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures is essential. Prior dietary aide or food service experience within healthcare settings is highly desirable. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents' needs. Basic knowledge of culinary practices, meal preparation, and food production is advantageous.
