They support the dietary team and help ensure residents receive safe, nutritious meals based on their medical needs. Main Roles Prepare and portion food Assemble and deliver meal trays Follow special diet orders (diabetic, low-sodium, pureed, etc.) Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen areas Assist residents during mealtimes Monitor and report meal intake or concerns Maintain food safety and infection control standards Skills Needed Food handling and sanitation knowledge Good communication and teamwork Attention to detail Compassion and patience with elderly residents
