Dietary Aide - Full Time & Part Time (4/2 Schedule) Diablo Valley Post Acute Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking dependable and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our team. We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions with a 4/2 schedule. Starting wage is $18/hour, and we offer a competitive benefits package for eligible employees. Position Summary The Dietary Aide assignments are determined by the needs and activity of each shift. The Dietary Aide reports directly to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and plays an important role in providing quality meal service and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment for our residents. Essential Duties Learn and follow food service routines within a short period of time Set up meal trays Strip returned trays and wash dishes Assist with serving meals Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift Monitor dishwasher water temperatures during dishwashing cycles Operate dishwasher equipment safely and efficiently Prepare nourishments and snacks Sweep and mop kitchen areas Remove trash and garbage Store groceries in a safe, clean, and orderly manner Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards Clean work surfaces and refrigerators Maintain floors by sweeping and mopping Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff Work cooperatively with staff in all departments Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Dependable and willing to learn Previous dietary or food service experience is a plus, but not required Schedule & Compensation Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available 4/2 rotating schedule Starting pay: $17-$18.00 per hour Benefits available for eligible employeesJoin our team and help provide exceptional care and service to our residents every day.
