In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean and safe environment. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents or patients with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring their dietary needs are met Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food service equipment through regular sanitation and cleaning routines Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols Support the dietary team with serving well balanced meals, cleaning dishes, and organizing supplies for efficient meal service Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring expiration dates Collaborate with nursing staff and dietary team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and accommodate physician orders for therapeutic diets and special dietary requests Skills Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Excellent time management skills to efficiently prepare and serve meals within scheduled times Ability to perform food preparation tasks such as cooking, portioning, and plating meals accurately Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward residents or patients Experience in dietary aide roles or food service positions is preferred but not required; training will be provided if needed Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing nourishing meals that support health and happiness!
