The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, and will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. This role requires strong time management skills and a commitment to food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Follow food handling and safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Support meal preparation activities, including cooking, cleaning, and bussing tables as needed. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents. Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Participate in training sessions related to food safety, sanitation practices, and dietary regulations. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food production processes is essential. Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
