Dietary Aide / Cook Islands Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation - 3.6 Honolulu, HI Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Food service health code compliance English State healthcare regulations High school diploma or GED Food safety sanitizing procedures Resident rapport building Cleaning messes in dining areas Full Job Description The Dietary Aide/Tray Setter/Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper is responsible for meal preparation, assisting and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas and under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services. ensuring that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient is met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Islands Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation standards. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements High school graduate or equivalent 2-3 years' experience in the food service industry Prior experience in Skilled Nursing preferred. Specific Job Requirements Candidates must have a Food Handler's permit /ServeSafe certification per state requirements. Assist and maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other employees. Maintain regular attendance. Meet all local health regulations and pass the post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry. Capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours. Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
