Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or healthcare settings. In this vital role, you will assist with meal service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff alike. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and food handling skills while contributing to the well-being of our community members. Duties Assist with food preparation, serving meals, and ensuring timely delivery to residents or patients Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food service equipment in accordance with food safety standards Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and managing food handling procedures Help with meal setup and breakdown, including portioning and plating food items Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and infection control Provide friendly customer service by attending to residents' or patients' needs during meal times Support kitchen staff with basic culinary tasks such as food assembly or snack preparation when needed Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Familiarity with food production, serving, and sanitation practices is advantageous Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and cleaning routines Experience in food handling, cooking, or dietary assistance roles enhances your ability to succeed in this position Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene standards is beneficial Customer service experience helps ensure positive interactions with residents or patients Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued Join us in creating a caring environment where nutritious meals meet compassionate service.
