Peoria, Illinois, United States Job Description Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation and service of meals, beverages and snacks by following seasonal menus, spreadsheets and standardized recipes, mechanically altered diets and menu preference sheets. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures according to facility policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations. Set-up and clean-up of satellite pantries, dining rooms and tray line. Follow proper procedure for washing Dietary Aide's dishes in 3 compartment sink and dish machine. Keep work area clean and organized throughout shift and follow cleaning schedule assigned for the position. Prepare food items for special events and activities as assigned. Provide excellent customer service to all residents, staff and visitors. Maintain a professional attitude by showing respect and being a positive productive member of the Dining Services team. Perform other specific job duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor and/or Head Cook or Cook in absence of Food Service Supervisor.
