This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in food service within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation and meal service, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals that meet dietary guidelines and individual preferences Serve residents with kindness and professionalism, maintaining high standards of customer service and respect Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to uphold health regulations and prevent contamination Support kitchen operations by cleaning dishes, utensils, countertops, and food preparation areas to ensure a hygienic environment Help with bussing tables, clearing trays, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to promote sanitation and efficiency Assist in meal setup and breakdown, including portioning food items and organizing supplies for smooth service flow Support dietary department staff with inventory management and food storage practices to minimize waste and ensure freshness Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food production, food handling, cooking, or meal preparation enhances your ability to succeed in this role Strong time management skills are essential for coordinating meal times efficiently while maintaining quality standards Experience in dietary aide roles or food service positions demonstrates your commitment to providing excellent resident care Knowledge of sanitation practices, kitchen safety protocols, and proper serving techniques is highly valued Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities effectively Join us as a Dietary Aide where your energy fuels our mission to serve nutritious meals with care.
