- Vienna, IL Position Overview Hillview Senior Living & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and organized Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a welcoming dining environment.
As a Dietary Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting resident health and satisfaction by overseeing daily dietary operations, managing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring meal services meet both clinical and personal dietary needs. 00 per hour Compensation is based on experience and certification status. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential and a current Food Handler Certification . Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department Plan and coordinate nutritious menus that meet physician orders and resident dietary needs Supervise dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management Ensure proper meal preparation, service, and sanitation standards are maintained Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and special dietary requirements Manage food ordering, inventory control, and department budgets Ensure compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident nutritional needs Conduct routine kitchen inspections and maintain food safety standards Foster a positive dining experience that enhances resident satisfaction and quality of life Qualifications Previous Dietary Manager, Dietary Supervisor, or Food Service Management experience preferred Long-term care, skilled nursing, healthcare, or senior living experience strongly preferred Knowledge of nutrition standards, food safety regulations, and therapeutic diets Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Current Food Handler Certification preferred Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred Candidates who are not currently Certified Dietary Managers may still be considered; however, certification may be required within an established timeframe following hire.
