ASSISTANT DIETARY MANAGER
As the Assistant Dietary Manager , you are responsible for assisting the Dietary Manager in directing, evaluating, and monitoring the staff assigned to your department as well as helping to oversee the daily functions of the dietary department.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day operations within the department Assist in managing food service employees - scheduling, hiring, performance management. Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes. Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders. Will work as a cook or dietary aide in absence of staff. Will work some weekends. Will work some evening shifts.
Qualifications:
Previous long-term care experience is desirable. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to follow instructions. Strong verbal and listening skills. Multi-tasking skills. Passion for helping others. Excellent customer service. Teamwork qualities.
