Dietary Aide Department:
Dietary Direct Report to: Dietary Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Aide is responsible for assisting with prepping, serving, and cleanup of client meals. As well as the cleanliness of the kitchen.
SCOPE:
Under the immediate supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide assists the Cooks in preparing/serving client's healthy meals to promote improved health and well-being of all clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Have basic kitchen knowledge. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate client admissions, census and needs of the facility. Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Apportions & places food servings on plates Follow the established menu, by preparing and serving all food and beverages. Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers Uses knives as directed Monitors and records refrigeration and freezer temps Uses test strips to check sanitizer levels in dish machine and three-compartment sink Sanitizes food contact surfaces throughout the shift Completes cleaning assignments per cleaning schedule before going off-duty Accommodates clients with reasonable dietary requests Receives and puts up stock Knowledgeable about kitchen fire safety features Washes dishware, pots, pans and cooking utensils throughout the shift Operates all equipment in a safe manner Participates in performance improvement activities Reports safety hazards to supervisor and or Executive Director Complies with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety Performs prep work for upcoming meals Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately Participate in cleaning & deep cleaning as instructed. As this is not an all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned as required by Patient and Facility needs.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
