The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals to our residents. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Assist in the preparation and assembly of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure that all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Support cooks and other kitchen staff with meal preparation tasks as needed. Properly store food items and manage inventory to minimize waste. Serve meals to residents, ensuring that dietary restrictions are adhered to. Participate in cleaning duties, including sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces. Collaborate with the dietary department team to enhance meal service quality. Requirements Previous experience in food production, food handling, or culinary roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timelines. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and team members. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and pay attention to detail.
