Job Description
Prepare food in accordance with current federal, state and local guidelines and regulations, as well as policies and procedure. Review menus prior to preparation of food. Complete pre-preparation as directed by Dining Service Manager. Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies. Move and lift stock and equipment as necessary. Know and follow facility rules. Assist in cleaning duties in accordance with established policy and procedures. Qualifications
- Food preparation and cooking skills
- Experience in food service and handling
- Previous restaurant and kitchen experience
- Culinary background with knowledge of the food industry
- Proficient in meal preparation and knife skills
- Dietary department and aide experience a plus
- Menu planning and fine dining experience preferred
- Ability to cater and serve in various settings
