While previous experience in long-term care dietary services is advantageous, it is not required. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are team-oriented and committed to delivering the highest quality of care and service.

Full Job Description:

We are hiring Dietary Aides for our Long Term Care facility. Your primary responsibilities will include serving appealing and nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents, while maintaining a pleasant and professional dining environment. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, ability to stand for extended periods, and capability to lift and move heavy items. The position will be working 4 days on followed by 2 days off in a rotation. The rate of pay is $12 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist cook by preparing and portioning food items as instructed Set up trays and deliver meals to residents at designated times stock and store food items Retrieve dishes and utensils following meals Wash, sanitize and store dishes and utensils Empty food carts and scrape dishes Clean food carts and microwaves Sweep and mop kitchen area Pick up dishes in dining room and clean tables Pour and cap drinks/juices Sort tray cards Roll utensils for each meal service Cleaning duties as assigned

Skills Required:

Previous experience as a dietary aide preferred Customer service experience is a plus Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards Ability to follow meal preparation instructions accurately Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and appliances Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills Good physical stamina and ability to meet job demands High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is beneficial

Experience:

Six months of experience in institutional food preparation or related fields is preferred.
