Full Job Description Description:
The Glen Retirement System is seeking a Full-time Dietary Assistant to join our Culinary Team! Contact Human Resources for additional information at (318) 798-3500, or you can apply online.Work Hours:
10 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. shift or 2 days 6:00 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. shift & 2 days 10:00 a.m.

: Responsible for providing quality food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Food Preparation- Main Kitchen Prep work including, washing, peeling, cutting and seeding vegetables and fruits along with weighing and measuring designated ingredients.
- Household & IL/AL Ensure that the dining room/area is properly set-up prior to and after for meal service period.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High school or GED equivalent preferred; or 1-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of Serve Safe course Must be a people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Must be able to work overtime as required. Computer skills appropriate to job tasks Organizational and time-management skills Ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructionsMATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to perform in a high-traffic, high-energy environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; pull, push up to 90 pounds. Finger and hand dexterity to operate small equipment and perform job tasks.
