Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide/Cook, where you will play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals to our residents in a nursing home. This energetic position combines food preparation, service, and sanitation duties to ensure a positive dining experience for all. Your culinary skills and commitment to food safety will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes health and well-being. Whether assisting with meal prep or serving residents, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference every day. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, ensuring quality and consistency in food production. Assist with food handling, portioning, and plating to meet nutritional standards and presentation expectations. Serve meals to residents with friendly customer service, ensuring a respectful and engaging dining experience. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including sanitation of utensils, equipment, and food preparation surfaces. Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and managing dishwashing tasks. Follow proper food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations. Manage time effectively during meal service to ensure timely delivery of hot and cold foods. Qualifications Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred. Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and meal service. Familiarity with food handling, sanitation standards, and safety regulations related to food service environments. Strong time management skills to coordinate meal prep and service efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and team members. Previous dietary aide or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Pay:
$15.50 - $16.25 per hour
