Our Director of Culinary will provide you with the necessary training to be successful in this role. Position SummaryDietary Aide is responsible for setting up of dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.
Assists the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.
Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
Responsible for delivering residents' meal carts, setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community's rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Qualifications1 year food service preferred but not required Fluent in English including reading, writing and speakingAbility to communicate clearly to all levels within the communityHas a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents understanding their special needsMust be able to follow directions and follow through on assignmentsAbility to work with others as part of a teamAbility to multi-task and prioritizeServSafe is desirable but not required Education RequirementHigh school diploma or GED degreeCompetenciesPositive attitudeWillingness to learnExcellent customer service skillsTeam playerPhysical DemandsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 50 pounds Qualifications Additional Information
