Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Dietary Aide in a dynamic healthcare environment. In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and sanitation efforts to ensure residents and patients receive nutritious, safe, and appealing meals. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our residents, patients, and staff. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop culinary skills while making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly, professional customer service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food handling equipment through proper sanitation practices Support dietary staff with bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and organizing food supplies Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Help ensure the dietary department operates efficiently by managing time effectively during busy meal periods Contribute to a welcoming environment by providing courteous service and addressing dietary needs or preferences Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or healthcare settings is preferred Culinary experience or background in food production within the food industry is highly valued Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards in a kitchen or food service environment Experience working in dietary departments of nursing homes or hospitals is advantageous Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during meal times Customer service skills that promote positive interactions with residents, patients, and staff Knowledge of food handling, cooking, serving techniques, and general kitchen operations is beneficial Join us to be part of a team committed to providing exceptional care through nourishing meals and compassionate service.
