Dietary Aide/Cook

Oakwood Senior Living, a warm and welcoming assisted living community, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to support our residents with their daily nutritional needs.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents Follow menus and dietary guidelines as directed by the Dietary Manager Ensure meals are served on time and presented in a clean, appealing manner Set up dining areas and deliver food trays to residents as needed Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas Maintain proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction

Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions Excellent communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, respectful, and patient demeanor when interacting with residents Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs High school diploma or GED preferred Why Join Oakwood Senior Living?
