Saint Paul, MN Job Details Part-time $19.09 - $19.75 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication English Full Job Description Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul's Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services. Residents enjoy access to amenities including a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining. We are currently hiring a Culinary Aide to join our Culinary Services team and help provide an exceptional dining experience for our residents, tenants, and guests. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in food service. Previous food service experience is not required. We're looking for dependable team members who enjoy working with older adults, provide outstanding customer service, and take pride in creating a welcoming dining experience.
Wage:
$19.09-$19.75hr.
DOE Schedule:
3:30pm-6:30pm Part-Time Evenings every other weekend and holiday required. What You'll Do Prepare dining rooms for meal service by ensuring tables and service areas are clean, organized, and welcoming Assist residents and tenants with meal selection and meal delivery Provide prompt and courteous beverage service Clear dishes, utensils, and trays throughout meal service Keep food, beverages, utensils, and dining supplies fully stocked Clean and sanitize dining rooms, food preparation areas, and service stations after meals Reset dining areas for upcoming meal services Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, trays, cups, glasses, silverware, and cookware Store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas Clean and sanitize food carts and delivery equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment while following all food safety and infection control standards Perform other duties as assigned to support the Culinary Services team What We're Looking For Minimum eighth-grade education or equivalent Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to safely communicate and document information as required for resident care and food service operations Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications Previous food service or dietary experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to meet all facility hiring requirements Working Conditions Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift Exposure to hot and humid kitchen environments Use of commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals Possible exposure to sharp utensils and power-driven equipment Routine work may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues May come in contact with pork products "At Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
