The ideal candidate will assist in meal service, food preparation, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious and appealing meals in a safe and clean environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents while gaining valuable experience in food service and dietary operations. Hours Dietary Aide 7 AM to 2:30 PM during the week 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM on weekends. Dish Aide 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Must be 18 or older for the dish aide position. Duties Taking food and drink orders Set up dining areas, serve meals to residents, and assist with bussing and clean-up after meals Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a hygienic environment Support dietary department staff with inventory management and food storage Ensure timely delivery of meals and snacks to residents, adhering to scheduled meal times Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Assist with special dietary needs by preparing modified textures or specialized menus as directed Provide friendly customer service to residents, staff, and visitors Qualifications Prior experience in a nursing home is preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures Experience with food preparation, serving, and kitchen sanitation is advantageous Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare support roles with a focus on nutrition and resident care.
