Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nutritional care to our residents. In this lively and rewarding position, you will assist with food preparation, service, sanitation, and overall meal delivery within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Your positive attitude and commitment to food safety will help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes health and well-being for all residents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food service and healthcare industries. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and friendly customer service Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food handling equipment Buss tables, clear trays, and ensure dining areas are tidy and inviting for residents Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Support the dietary department by organizing supplies, stocking food items, and assisting with inventory management Help with general kitchen tasks such as cooking, sanitation, and meal assembly to ensure timely service Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food preparation, serving, cleaning, and sanitation practices in a healthcare or hospitality setting is highly valued Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities during busy meal times Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential Experience working in a team-oriented environment with excellent customer service skills is a plus Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience related to dietetics or food service will enhance your ability to succeed in this role Join us in making a meaningful difference through nourishing care!
