Job Summary:
Responsible for overall management, supervision and preparation of meals for Dietary Services compliant with Residents' Diet Orders, menu specifications, Company Policies, Dietary /Sanitary Regulations; ensures high standards of quality in food preparation and service with consultation of Dietary Consultant; ensures accuracy of grocery orders, inventory records; ensures adequate inventory; must communicate courteously and respectfully with Employees, Residents and others; maintains high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene
Qualifications:
Prefer Supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service position; must be able to obtain and maintain any required certificates; must be in good physical condition, be able to read and write to accomplish job duties; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory
Criminal History Background Check Duties and Responsibilities:
Commitment to providing compassionate care to our elders Monitors and evaluates performance of Dietary staff Plans menu cycles and modifies menus for special diets as ordered by Physician Completes Nutritional Assessments on new Residents; makes monthly and quarterly progress notes; visits new Residents to obtain basic food requirements and preferences Works with Social Services and Activity Department in planning special holiday menus and activities Orders food, supplies and equipment according to established budget guidelines and procedures Maintains Budget records; consults with Dietary Consultant and Administrator regarding Dietary Budget Writes Quality Assurance Criteria, conducts periodic audits and serves on the QA Committee as requested
