Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our Skilled Nursing Facility in Hamilton, Montana. This role is vital in providing high-quality nutritional support and meal services to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, preparation, and sanitation within healthcare or food service environments. Flexibility and excellent customer service skills are essential to ensure residents receive timely and nutritious meals in a warm, caring atmosphere. Duties Assist with meal preparation, serving, and plating according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with safety standards Support dietary department operations, including bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and maintaining organized workspaces Help with food production tasks such as portioning ingredients and assembling meals Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining experience for residents Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Provide courteous customer service to residents during meal times, addressing any special dietary needs or requests Skills Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings preferred Knowledge of food preparation, serving, sanitation, and food safety standards Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled meal times Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as cooking, bussing, cleaning, and meal assembly simultaneously Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food handling regulations Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Basic culinary skills and kitchen experience are highly desirable for this role This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of our residents while developing valuable skills within the healthcare food service industry.
