This position is Full Time, 1:30pm - 9pm. Policies and Procedures Maintain confidentiality of residents and potential residents, resident family members, coworkers, and Immanuel Living. Understand and support the philosophy, policies, and standards of Immanuel Living and the Nutrition Services Department. Maintain quality of resident care, including compliance with Facility and Nutrition Services. Department policies and procedures, and State and Federal guidelines. Follow facility and department policies and procedures. Position Duties Possess a high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Assist in serving of meals and loading of food carts. Assist in preparation of various desserts, salads, peeling vegetables, etc. Assist in washing dishes, pots and pans, while following good cleaning procedures. Assist in dining area set-up and tray assembly. Assist residents with meal set-up, including buttering bread, cutting meat, etc. Perform cleaning duties in kitchen and dining rooms, on equipment, dishwashing area, etc. Deliver food and snack carts to various areas within the building. Assist with food and supply receiving and storage, as assigned. Obtain food and supplies from storeroom, as needed. Able and willing to work all positions with department, excluding cook and management. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Completion of Serve Safe™ program upon entry into this position High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least 6 months of experience in a similar field preferred Physical requirements include: Frequent sitting; use of hands; reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting, crouching, or crawling; talking and hearing Frequently lifting up to 10 pounds, rarely up to 20 or 40 pounds Occasional reaching above shoulder height, frequent reaching from chest to shoulder, and below waist level Occasional carrying up to 12 pounds, rarely up to 25 pounds Frequently pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds, rarely up to 40 pounds Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
