Position Summary As a Dietary Aide at St. Catherine, you will support food service operations in a long term care setting. You will assist with meal preparation, tray service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining environment while ensuring residents receive meals that meet their needs and preferences. You will work as part of a team to provide a positive dining experience that supports resident health, dignity, and satisfaction. What You Will Do Assist with preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and resident needs Deliver meal trays to residents and ensure accuracy of meal selections and special diets Assist residents in dining areas as needed, promoting a pleasant and respectful dining experience Collect and clean dishes, utensils, and meal service equipment Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures Communicate resident meal preferences, concerns, or changes in intake to dietary and nursing staff Assist with stocking food and supplies as needed Support a safe, organized, and welcoming dining environment What We Are Looking For Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen or dietary environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Friendly, respectful, and service oriented attitude Ability to follow instructions, dietary guidelines, and safety procedures Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail Flexibility to work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays Previous food service or dietary experience is helpful but not required Work Environment This role is based in a long term care dietary department. You will work in kitchen, dining room, and food service areas, often on your feet for extended periods. The environment is fast paced, team oriented, and focused on resident service and food safety. Physical Requirements Summary Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift Ability to lift and carry food trays, supplies, and kitchen equipment Occasional lifting of up to 25 to 50 pounds Ability to push meal carts and perform repetitive tasks Ability to work in warm kitchen environments and fast paced conditions 9CmPsTlb4e
