The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that our patients receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while adhering to safety and health regulations. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences. Ensure all food items are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Buss tables and assist with the dining area setup, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for patients. Sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized workflow during meal service times. Follow all safety protocols while working in the kitchen environment, including proper lifting techniques and equipment usage. Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient dietary restrictions or changes in meal plans. Skills Previous experience in a kitchen or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling best practices is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the culinary space.
