Wanaque, New Jersey Position:
Dietary Aide Dietary Aide Our Dietary Aides keep our food service operation running clean, safe, and welcoming. The role centers on maintaining sanitary conditions across our kitchen, dining areas, and equipment, with hands-on support for meal service and light food prep along the way.
What You'll Do:
Arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to start your shift Handle food and equipment in line with our sanitation policies Operate all kitchen equipment safely and follow established safety guidelines Transport food carts and trays to resident rooms, dining rooms, and other designated areas as directed Serve residents in the dining room Prepare and deliver snacks as needed Pitch in on daily and scheduled cleaning tasks per facility procedures Flag any issues in your area to your supervisor promptly Help ensure every resident and family is treated with warmth, compassion, and respect for their individual needs Take on other related tasks as assigned
What You'll Bring:
A solid grasp of proper food handling and serving techniques Familiarity with sanitation practices for food service The ability to follow diet lists, portion accurately, and present meals in an appetizing way A positive, professional manner with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and the public Comfort reading, writing, speaking, and following directions in English Willingness to provide annual proof of a negative TB skin test
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Dependable, with strong attendance and punctuality Flexibility to work a varied schedule when needed Ability to read, write, and understand directions in English Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required
