Duties Prepare fresh salads, vegetables,, and toppings according to established standards and menu plans Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad bar area, including sanitizing surfaces and utensils regularly Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; restock items promptly to ensure variety and availability Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature controls Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using knife skills and culinary techniques Serve guests with friendly professionalism, answering questions about menu options and dietary preferences Support catering or special event setups by preparing large quantities of salads or side dishes as needed Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry or restaurant environment Knowledge of menu planning principles to ensure variety and nutritional balance in offerings Proficiency in food safety standards and practices to maintain high hygiene levels Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient prep; ability to handle kitchen tools safely Ability to serve guests courteously while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with catering services, meal preparation, and food service operations enhances performance in this role This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthy eating, culinary arts, and providing exceptional service.
