Dietary Aide

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary aide to join our team in assisting providing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly within a hospital or assisted living environment, and will play a vital role in the dietary department. This position requires strong time management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Duties Ensure all food is handled safely, following proper food handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces. Assist in menu planning and food preparation for special dietary needs. Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience as a cook in a hospital, assisted living facility, or similar environment is preferred. Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition principles is an asset. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and sanitation practices is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
