Part-time 2nd shift - 12 hours per week including every other weekend and every other holiday
Job Summary:
To assist the cook in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate meals and to maintain a sanitary environment in the food service and dining areas.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for regular and timely attendance as scheduled. Excessive absences, late arrivals and early outs will not be tolerated. Maintain equipment and food storage areas in a sanitary condition. To wash and sanitize all eating utensils, dinnerware and equipment used in meal preparation and dining by staff, residents, and visitors to the home. To follow specific cleaning schedule of kitchen equipment, cabinets, floors, and all other areas assigned. Assist cook as directed in preparation and serving of meals. Cooperate with other departments within the facility to ensure that the nutritional and dietary needs of residents are being met. Attend all departmental and facility required in-service meetings and/or Relias trainings. Attend all intradepartmental staff meetings. Work on scheduled days of week and at scheduled times and, when emergencies arise, if requested. All other duties as assigned. High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Must have good communication, comprehension and writing skills. Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Must have the ability to interact with others in a positive manner and maintain harmonious working relationships with facility staff. Must be in good physical condition and maintain a neat appearance.
