All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual. We are seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in our Youth Residential Treatment Center to prepare nutritious meals for our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for planning menus, purchasing ingredients, and preparing meals that meet the dietary needs of our young residents. The pay range for this position is $19.00
26 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
Responsibilities:
Plan weekly menus in collaboration with the dietician, ensuring that meals meet the nutritional needs of the residents. Purchase ingredients and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary items are available. Prepare and cook meals, following recipes and ensuring that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency. Ensure that food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents, including allergies, intolerances, and religious or cultural preferences. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work areas. Train and supervise staff to help as needed. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and positive environment for the residents.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school or certification preferred. Proven experience as a cook, with knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment. Person-In-Charge (level one) Certification in Food Protection Training through the Ohio Department of Health, Understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members. Must be able to meet requirements for work in QRTP facility.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
