Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide / Cook to join our team in a skilled nursing facility setting. This position plays an important role in providing quality meals and excellent service to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with seniors, have a positive attitude, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while following dietary and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diets Assist with food preparation, tray assembly, and meal service Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served in accordance with sanitation and safety standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, dishwashing, and storage areas Wash dishes, utensils, carts, and kitchen equipment Follow portion control and resident diet orders Properly label and store food items Assist with stocking and inventory as needed Work closely with dietary manager, cook, and nursing staff Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and guests Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and infection control procedures Qualifications Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred Cook experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate Ability to read and follow recipes and diet instructions Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds Dependable attendance and teamwork required Food Handler Permit preferred (if required by state) Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Supportive team environment Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available Weekends and holidays may be required Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our residents every day.
