Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the dietary department, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Develop and implement budgets for the dietary department
- Supervise and train dietary staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to food service and safety
- Coordinate with other departments to meet the nutritional needs of patients/residents
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate dietary plans
- Monitor and adjust dietary plans as necessary based on patient progress and needs
- Provide education and counseling to patients/residents regarding nutrition and dietary requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized meal plans for patients/residents
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- In-depth knowledge of nutrition principles and physiology
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a dietary department
- Ability to assess patient nutritional needs and develop appropriate dietary plans
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
