Dietary Aide

Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in providing exceptional meal services within an assisted living or nursing home environment. In this energetic position, you will assist with food preparation, serving, and sanitation, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing meals in a warm, welcoming setting. Your commitment to food safety, customer service, and teamwork will help create a positive dining experience for all residents and guests. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation following established recipes and safety guidelines Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly, attentive customer service Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and food handling stations through regular sanitation and cleaning procedures Support food handling and bussing duties to ensure efficient meal service and dining area upkeep Follow proper food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and accommodate special dietary requirements Experience Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food production, preparation, serving, and sanitation practices is advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience in food handling, cooking, or culinary roles enhances your ability to succeed in this position Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward residents and team members Knowledge of dietary department procedures and food safety standards is beneficial Previous dietary aide or food service experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued

Pay:

$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
