Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in hospitals or assisted living facilities, and will be responsible for supporting the dietary department in meal preparation and food handling. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and safety standards. Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils. Support the dietary department by organizing food supplies and inventory management. Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any resident needs or preferences. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for various health conditions. Assist with special events or functions as needed within the facility. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry, preferably within a hospital or assisted living environment. Must be flexible when it comes to hours. Knowledge of food production processes and dietary department operations is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy meal periods. Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing compassionate service to residents. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items as needed, and perform various kitchen tasks.
