Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals in a nursing home setting, ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing food options. This position can be full-time, part-time, or as needed. Average hours for this position is 6am-2pm or 4pm-7pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for geriatrics and a commitment to food safety, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during food handling and preparation. Serve meals to residents in a timely manner, ensuring that dietary needs are met. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages. Support kitchen staff in various tasks as required, demonstrating teamwork and effective communication. Skills Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably within a nursing home or healthcare setting. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
