Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in providing nourishing, delicious meals to our residents. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments, supporting residents' health and well-being through exceptional food service and sanitation practices. As a key member of the dietary department, you will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards. Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and kindness, ensuring their dietary needs are met. Handle food safely by following proper sanitation, cleaning, and food handling procedures to prevent contamination. Support kitchen operations by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining a tidy environment. Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and checking expiration dates to ensure freshness and safety. Follow all sanitation protocols including proper dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and waste disposal to uphold health standards. Collaborate with culinary staff and nursing teams to deliver timely, quality meals that meet individual dietary requirements. Skills Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices. Proven ability in food preparation, cooking, serving, and meal assembly. Excellent time management skills to coordinate meal service efficiently. Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Familiarity with dietary department operations and dietetics principles is a plus. Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through regular cleaning and bussing duties while supporting kitchen operations seamlessly.
