Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cooking Lady to join our vibrant daycare team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that support the health and development of young children. Your culinary expertise will ensure that every child receives balanced, safe, and delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through wholesome meal preparation and food service excellence. Duties Plan and prepare daily menus tailored to the dietary needs of children in accordance with nutritional guidelines Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, cooking, and plating meals with precision and care Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and preparation Serve meals in a friendly, efficient manner while ensuring proper portioning and presentation Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages Follow strict sanitation protocols to keep the kitchen environment clean and compliant with health regulations Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary restrictions or allergies, ensuring all children's needs are met Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Demonstrated skills in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking within a childcare or similar setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices Experience with food industry operations such as catering, restaurant service, or fine dining is advantageous Proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation techniques, and general kitchen experience Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and caregivers Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive through nutritious meals!
