Dietary Aide-2 McAllen Transitional Care Center Come join our team and start making a difference! Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure compliance with Resident Rights policy at all times.
• Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Dietary Aide.
• Assist Dietary Cook with preparing meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Report any perceived change in a resident's daily eating habits or eating routine to the Wellness department.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures.
• Follow established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures, including but not limited to: cleaning work tables, meat blocks, kitchen equipment, refrigerators/freezers, storerooms, sweep and mop floors, wash, clean and store utensils as directed.
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
• Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures.
• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as needed.
• Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
• Attend and participate in mandatory training, inservices, and staff meetings.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Supervisor. Supervisory Responsibility
• None Work Environment
• Works in well-lit/ventilated areas. Atmosphere is warm for cooking.
• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
• Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
• Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
• Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipm.
