Job Description

Long-Term Care (LTC) Dietary Manager oversees daily food and nutrition services. They manage kitchen staff, ensure safe, high-quality meal preparation for residents, maintain strict compliance with state and federal health regulations, and collaborate with dietitians to meet individual nutritional needs.
Key Responsibilities Menu & Nutrition Management:
Collaborate with Registered Dietitians to plan, review, and modify menus to fit therapeutic diets, resident preferences, and seasonal availability.
Staff Leadership:
Supervise and schedule dietary aides and cooks. Oversee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing in-service training for safe food handling.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain strict compliance with state, federal, and local sanitation guidelines, food safety protocols, and health codes.
Inventory & Budgeting:
Develop and monitor the departmental budget, track food costs, and manage the procurement of food and kitchen supplies.
Resident Interaction:
Conduct nutritional screening, visit residents to evaluate satisfaction, and ensure dietary care plans are accurately executed.
Qualifications Certification:
Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) credential.
Experience:
Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is standard.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, food allergy management, cost control, and basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory
