What you'll do: Oversee daily food service operations, including preparation, purchasing, budgeting, storage, and inventory rotation Recruit, hire, and train dietary staff; provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action as needed Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage Manage staffing levels to align with department PPD targets Ensure meals are prepared to meet residents' dietary needs, preferences, and prescribed diets Monitor food quality, presentation, and portioning standards Verify proper food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety procedures Assist with meal service and cover cook or dietary aide shifts as needed Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations What we offer: Competitive hourly paybased on experience 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options Generouspaidtime off(PTO) What we're looking for: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals required Active ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent food safety certification required High school diploma or equivalent required Two years of experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting preferred Knowledge of federal regulations for skilled nursing or post-acute care settings Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. and handle equipment or supplies Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Full range of motion to perform job-related tasks Ability to work in environments with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) and ability to meet facility health requirements Why us: Our Dietary Supervisor's care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
